How are you supposed to do the layouts? Digitally or like, sketching boxes on a page or whatever?
All of the above and more =_=
Research (from other magazines), sketches (pencil), font research (GD’s are very snobbish about fonts imo), and then digital layouts in InDesign. We’re suppose to do like, at least 10 rough drafts of each piece (cover, 2 contents pages, 3 spreads for main article). I’ve got 5 before I ran out of creative juice.

If daylight savings were tomorrow, I’d have actually failed a class. I’m on 4 absences for my 8 AM class and I didn’t know it was daylight savings :o

I would have been late for work, if my phone alarm didn’t automatically update the time for me :T

I had two 8am’s this semester, and I am so ready for them to be over! Morning classes are the worst!

In the visual arts – in particular painting, graphic design, photography and sculpture – composition is the placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art or a photograph, as distinct from the subject of a work. It can also be thought of as the organization of the elements of art according to the principles of art.

In simple terms, it’s how to visual arrange an image to make it more interesting and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Composition can either make or break your image.

I think someone’s asked this before, but they didn’t want it to be an ‘anthro’. He’s suppose to be a very awkward combination of dragon and human (leaning a bit more towards the dragon side). I like describing it as a chimera or hybrid, as it implies better that it’s a mixed creature rather than just an “anthropomorphic” one.
