Random fanart Friday doodle. Fun fact: I was a huuuuuge fan of Digimon as a kid. I loved Pokemon, but then Digimon came out and I was hooked. I think it was because there was that blend of both cartoony and “bad-ass” designs. Something there for everyone to like. It was even the first show I created cliche fan-characters for. Good times.

quick (ugly) doodle of Sylveon. Partway through it I got to thinking, what are the ribbons made of? Flesh? New headcanon is that the ribbons are actually prehensile tentacles that it uses to strangle its victims. Remember, never trust the cute ones. Especially if they are pink. I’ll probably draw this again, because I like the idea but not the picture.

Since I’m drawing all the other pokemon in order, it will be eons before I get to the very end, so I don’t feel bad about skipping ahead to doodle the new ones. I actually don’t mind the new design. Different and weird, but not bad. His head’s so large. I imagine him speaking in his high-pitched kid voice.

I’m going to sit on this tonight and tweak it in the morning (with fresh eyes) before sending it off for opinions. I took a bit of a dramatic change from previously, but I think I like it better? I was fighting with the foreground too much in the previous version, so I went with a much more clear approach.

Got drivers and programs installed on the new computer today. Doodled a few things while I adjusted my tablet’s sensitivity settings. I feel like a genius because I actually figured out how to program my tablet’s shortcut keys so that one of them is undo in PS.
